Most people would call us crazy for wanting to take our 2 young children on a week long road trip across country and yes it was crazy but so much fun. We were fortunate enough to have this opportunity with Brad working in NYC this Summer so we got a minivan and packed our clothes and drove and drove. We spent the first day driving straight through Wyoming to South Dakota. The kids did really well the first day since this was all new and exciting although the novelty quickly died the following day since we were again in the car ALL day except to see Mount Rushmore. After those first 2 days of driving straight we were able to sightsee more and avoid being in the car until later in the evening when the kids were tired. Here is how the trip played out:
