Burfoot Park in Olympia, WA

Since we moved here last Summer, we have been to several beaches and have had no luck in finding hermit crabs or critters running around.  Our kids have been asking to find a hermit crab so we decided to check out this beach in Olympia.  It was AWESOME.  There were starfish all over.  I had no idea a starfish was actually pink.  I have only seen dead ones which are usually brown at that point.  There were little crabs hiding under rocks and they were too fast to catch but it was still a beautiful day.  We ended up going home with lots of seashells, exhausted kids and a very smelly starfish....I think it was a success.:)

No words needed to describe how excited this little girl was!

Making our way down to the beach.....It was SO beautiful!!!

SO excited about all of the seashells she found!
Sam loving the seaweed...don't ask why we didn't just put him in a swimming suit.

Brad trying to catch a crab for the kids

Trying to get Will to smile for me...Nope!
